Fun and Games: Red Light, Green Light

The game "Red Light, Green Light" is a fun way to help your preschooler work on listening skills and memory. In this game, children must listen and follow instructions to avoid being sent back to the starting line. They must also remember how and when to move in the game.
1.Help your child make Red, Yellow, Green and Blue lights before you start. Simply draw circles on paper, write the words: red, yellow, green and blue, in each circle. Then let your child color each circle the appropriate color.
2. Review the rules of the game with your child:
Red – Stop
Yellow – walk slowly
Green – Walk
Blue Light – the meaning of the Blue light can change each game. Try jumping, hopping on one foot, or skipping to get started.
Have fun!
